[Supras] So, now that I'm getting through again

I have let a bunch of oil drain into the open cylinder like you described back when I didn't know any better (about 10 years ago with my 86.5 na). There was a huge bang upon trying to start the car and all of the oil was pushed into the cat. T\he car smoked so bad afterward that I filled 3 lanes of traffic with blue-white smoke. You couldn't see for hundreds of feet!!! I don't think any lives were lost though ;) After a mile or so the smoike went away and all was fine.

BOTTOM LINE is don't re-install the spark plug if a bunch of oil has run into the cylinder. Crank the car for a couple of revolutions without the spark plug and you will see oil shoot out of the hole and probably hit the underside of the hood.

Good luck,
Ken (87T & 89T04E)
