The stuff on Ebay is mine, and I have been on this list for so many years...
I own 3 Supras and am cutting this down to just one and a parts car. I will
be offering a lot more parts and offers to come a get it from the parts cars
soon, the time is based upon the 87 Track Cars completion.

Dust Shields - Race cars don't need no stinking dust shields - I took them
off and trashed them. They do need longer wheel studs and open lug nuts and
this was done - and cost a fortune too. Hence the new bearings and seals
with the re-assembly.

The MKIV stuff works, it's an old upgrade trick I got from Mike at TOYSPORT
years back. The biggest issue is that you have to shorten the overall tie
rod length. So you cut a bit off the tie rod end and a bit (like a 1/4 inch
each) of the tie rod. They just did this "shorting" to some truck on Two
Guys Garage on SPEED a few weeks back. Took those guys five minutes on
TV... I never tried MKIV tie rods, the shorting was just too easy to do.
The Camber will be different but acceptable. Alignment is something you have
to get good at when you race SRFs.

Brian - You would probably make the switch if someone gave you a FREE
wildwood big brake kit.

Yes those pads were expensive - Maybe I will just pull this stuff an pack it
away.

Where are the dust shields? I'd like to hear more on this, it makes sense
the upper/lower ball joints would fit since I've been told Toyota uses a
proprietary taper so I'd assume it's the same for most of their applications
but how different is the geometry? I wonder if you'd be able to get the
alignment to an acceptable range with the different knuckle? They also look
a far amount smaller than the stockers so they're probably a bit lighter but
I don't know why the tie rod ends wouldn't work (maybe different angle on
the mk4?)

Those pads alone sell for over $200 but I can't imagine ever setting all
that up to where it works and not using it. It's a great alternative if you
could get it to work without binding and get the alignment dialed in.
Just my $.02.

Apparently it is possible to do this swap of the whole hub & caliper? I can
't imagine it would be too easy considering he mentions having to alter the
length of the tie rods...

Any input?

Ken
