[Supras] crankshaft pulley now balance shafts

2.4 Chryslers from the 80's (Mitsubishi) had balance shafts that were on the
end of the oiling circuit.
If the car has any issue with the oiling system the balance shaft would spin
a bearing.
My brother's caravan had a bad thermostat that caused the car to run rich
thinning the oil. The balance shaft spun and the engine was rebuilt without
balance shafts. Never noticed a difference but I also never compared one
with balance shafts to this one without side to side
The 90's GM 4 cylinders had an added on balance shaft in the oil pan that
was trouble enough that they were stocked at the dealership. I think these
could be removed also but my memory is a little hazy there

Not sure about the older 2.2's and 2.5's but the newer ones (2.0 and
2.4) which were used in the Neon and PT Cruisers did have balance
shafts although owners have removed them without much ill effect (at
least nothing reported other than noticeably more vibration). BTW, the
2.4 has been stroked to 2.7.
