[Supras] How much longer for our beloved?

My 91T with 230K+ miles is my toy and daily driver. I have a gas sucking Durango that is the garage queen that comes out for the rare messy weather in Georgia or if I need to tow or my DD is temporarily off the road ie the recent clutch replacement. The supra is in pretty awesome condition especially with the new coat of paint and the engine refresh several months ago and unless something catastrophic happens it will be around and incrementally improved over the next many years as my cost effective gas mizer hot rod that is easily transformed to topless mode :)

rich,
let's call it "semi-perma-parked" because we DO still drive them. My
'92 is also perfect condition, and I will be the absolute last owner. It
is already in my will. Still want to get a modern stereo in it, but
that's about all. The '85 I just picked up this summer is so close to
showroom, that it joined the '92 in the pampered section. have to fix the
antenna/radio and a couple of exterior paint issues, but that's it for
this one too. So what if both stay parked/covered from late?November to
March or so? That is what has replaced the anticipation of school
vacation or whatever we USED to look forward to that time of year for. Now
it is to be able to drive the toys we had fun making that way. My '94
Celica GT is my DD that sees the rain/ice/snow/salt of the "dark days" of
winter, and it is reliable as hell to boot.
Finally, a comment from someone who has been an extremely loyal Toyota
owner since 1979. When I began racing Toyota cars and trucks in the
late 70s, I was very very anti Datsun - they were the competition, such as
it was. Datsun 4X4s were nowhere near the standard of quality and
toughness of the Toyotas, and I ate their lunch everytime we lined up
together on the sand dunes or obstacle course. (and pit crewing for Ivan
Stewart in the desert was the ultimate Toyota "woodie") However, as time
has passed, it seems that Nissan is more in tune with what the public
wants - at least the American public - and I'm not so sure any more that
I would not own one. I've driven the Titan and rented an Armada for my
class reunion last year, and was very impressed (had a 2000 tundra, but
lost it in the divorce). The Tacoma is an excellent truck, and would
probably lean that way in the future, but after reading the article on
the upcoming GT-R, it seems Nissan hasn't forgotten their performance
minded loyalists the way Toyota has. And sure, I could buy 2 Mk IVs for
the price of one GT-R, but it is the thought that counts as far as a
manufacturer at least putting their brand name out there as a Z06 killer.
Toyota has deferred it's performance legend to Lexus, which are
excellent vehicles, but I want the opportunity to smoke a Corvette in
something with the Toyota logo on the hood and made after 1998.

I'm almost embarrassed to say that after all these years I've
perma-parked my Supra this year in near perfect condition & at
+422RWHP. I've declared that project finished and it sits in my
garage. I'll never sell it, and I'll continue to drive it on nicer
days
but it's getting to old and dare I say "rare" to see.
I looked at the Skyline and the MKIV's but decided to buy a *fully*
loaded '04 Infiniti G35 4door Sedan ($18k), and then bolted on a turbo
kit ($5k) intended for a Nissan 350Z. It took 2 days and 7.5psi to go
from 260hp to 411rwhp. I still spent less on it than I would have a
MKIV TT. I've put 10,000 miles on the new car without a glitch.
Sadly,
that's not so true with the MKIII Supra.
