[Supras] 7mGTE oil filter remval trick

That location is a high heat area - right over the downpipe. I've had no leakage issues at all with my relocation kit but the filter is located under the RF headlight in an ambient temperature location.

I relocated my filter on the passenger side near the charcoal cylinder
on the fender wall. I made a filter wrench using a bicycle chain held
in a modified 3/8" socket. With an extension in the socket I can use a
ratchet wrench to put enough torque to loosen a tight filter without
slippage. In fact it can easily crush the filter if one twists to hard.

The relocation bracket has two horizontal inlets from the engine (one
is blocked) and 2 outlets. One outlet goes to the oil after-market oil
cooler, the other I fitted for a mechanical oil pressure gage. The
filter is mounted beneath the mounting bracket.

The only problem is oil drooling around the filter- no matter how tight
it is. The casket sealing surface may warp when the bracket heats or
maybe the filter screw is not perpendicular to it. Any advice on
 preventing the drooling oil?

Another option is a coil spring oil filter wrench.
As you loosen the filter the coil tightens around
the filter body.
