Thanks everybody, for the alarm help. I decided to just take the whole blinkin' after market alarm right out, brain box and all. There was a color code key on the box, so I knew which wires were which, and the Scotch Lock connection method made it easy to see whether the circuits were seriesed or paralleled in. I then just made it all the way it was, electrically, before the alarm was installed.

As for the factory one, I have to fiddle around with the drive's door, I guess, since there are sensors/switches there. The handle is very screwed up and may be giving me an intermittent. This may be why the ignition key's glow ring flickers all the time and never really fades down, too? All in good time; I should get The Engine (of some internet fame by now) back in the car. Or "cah,' as we say here on Cape Cod. (70 miles from Boston) It's been pahked in the yahd a long time, now.
