[Supras] losing performance

I have the speed-source lower IC pipe installed on my car. It's low-cost, and is at least a
hardpipe and gets rid of the stupid elbow.
My thinking is this: Most of the restriction to FLOW in the IC system is the IC itself, and
it's flow that we're interested in. Most of the problem with 2" piping is the number of
bends and twists in the stock system anyway. The Speedsource pipe only has 2 bends in it,
and it's not a very sharp bend at that. As such, I think that it's perfactly suitable for
making some decent power. Certainly it can be improved, but I think that it's well worth the
money, and I'm not planning on replacing it until after the rest of the intake is all done.
Even then, there are (to me) many things of much higher priority than that pipe. As a
replacement for stock, it's definitely better.
I'd prefer this over a 2.5" IC pipe that's made from bends and put together with silicone
couplers. The transitions at the silicone will produce turbulence and drag in the pipe,
which the one-piece 2" pipe won't have.
