I would go with the Hella conversion (or equivalent that uses H4
bulbs) -

The H4s are 60/55 W standard and are available at 100/55 W  Optics are
superior (crisp horizontal cutoff pattern etc) and while the standard
bulbs 
are excellent, the 100W bulbs are real flamethrowers.

Keep a pair of plain old sealed beams for inspection times.
