[Supras] Tire recomendation

Joe:
Thanks for the reply. In part I went for the Bridgestones (RE750's)
because of what appeared to be a decent tradeoff between tread life and
traction, based upon information from the Tire Rack website and a call
to them. Interestingly, the person I spoke to tried to sell me cheaper
tires at first (some Far Eastern brand I never heard of). A local
dealer here with a good reputation is a Tire Rack affiliate, and charges
$35 each for all aspects of installation and old tire disposal.
At this point, I'd be nuts to throw away almost $500 (two tires,
counting shipping) but at some point replacement will be necessary.
Models will probably change in the couple of years the present tires
will last, but any idea of the Goodyear model you had would be
appreciated. Tire Rack just expanded their selection of 275/40/17
tires, and one or two Goodyears are among the offerings.
Take care.
