Chris, the stuff is outside the pipes, after the turbo- under pressure, and can't get sucked into anything.  The worst that can happen is the pipe and hose will cease their intimate relationship and may part.

 The disadvantage of epoxy/wire is that is not as "professional" as formed beads.  It is also more likely to fail, especially in high heat areas.  It works for me, YMMV.  ;-)

Not a good idea to introduce materials which can potentially come apart in a
fluid system such as the intake. For custom plumbing, tig welding aluminum
mandrel elbows is IMHO the only way to go unless you have an autoclave  :)

Bernie, When I made my hard pipes I used JB Weld to hold a steel wire in
place.  It has lasted three years at pressures of up to ~14lbs on my daily
driven car.  Fast, easy, works, no rust.
