[Supras] AFM (hot wire type)

Code 31 and 71 should be easy to deal with.
71 especially. That is the EGR temp sensor. I assume you have an EGR with
a temp sensor, it is usually unplugged since it is hard to reach.
If you happen to have an EGR without a temp sensor, a resistor added to the
harness will satisfy the ECU and erase the code.
If you have NO EGR, then you probably won't pass :)
Code 31, AFM, what have you done there?

Do you think the car will be in spec?
Last time I was there I smogged 4 cars for friends. All of them passed,
even the 200,000 mile Acura.
I took the cars to 2 different shops and... well... NASA won't be calling
any of them offering them a job.
If the light is off and the specs out the pipe are ok I doubt they will
notice. What you have to do to make the light go out is up to you.
Will the codes come right back or will they say away long enough to pass
smog?
Check engine light bulbs do burn out if you get my drift.
Bob
