if you go with an aftermarket alarm system the simplest thing is to prevent the factory
alarm from arming, you can't remove the factory alarm without a whole lot of rewiring. to
prevent the factory alarm from arming, pop the black cover off the switch right in front
of the hood latch, cut the 2 wires to the sensor there and butt splice them together. i'd
point out the actual sensor for you in the epc but cygnus is acting up really bad right now.
