[Supras] A hotter spark???

Does anyone know whether testing has been done comparing the spark of
copper plugs to irridium? I've always heard Cu is the way to go for the
hottest spark. I've been running them for quite a while and don't mind
replacing often but if the same spark can be provided by Irr. Maybe I
should switch from a cost perspective. 

Any insight?
