Mine bolted right up without issue...I guess I was lucky that time :)

Did your Defcon have a warped turbine housing flange like mine did?  Mine was so bad (bought brand new years ago) that I had a 1.5mm gap at the top when the bottom two nuts were tightened.

Had to have it machined flat before I could use it...
