Installing the Defcon downpipe which eliminates the elbow altogether was in fact the biggest contributor to increased power. I don't think the Defcon is available any longer but I think Titan Motorsports makes one like it.

Yeah, replacing the elbow is a HUGE benefit. Everyone I know
that has upgraded the elbow wished they had done it sooner.
