Well, that's the square of the radius, not the diameter, which is different, but it's still a 
logarithmic function, which is, I think your point.

Persoanlly, I think that getting rid of that huge blockage after the wastegate in the turbo elbow is 
probably more beneficial, and probablhy adequate.  Boring the wastegate opening certainly isn't 
useless though, and is a good idea.
