[Supras] Turbo upgrade options

I went from stock to the 57 trim upgrade with clipped exhaust. I noticed improved upper RPM pull and the lag is definitely noticeable as the power doesn't seem to be there until ~ 3000 rpm now. Personally I'm happy with it as a daily driver. Typically I'm revving over 3k during hard acceleration anyway :)

Subject: [Supras] Turbo upgrade options

Okay, I'm thinking about sending in a CT26 for rebuild/upgrade. My initial instinct is a 57 trim
upgrade.

My goal is to have a well-mannered daily driver, but have enough punch to leave domestic V8 drivers
scratching their heads and wondering "What the hell was that?"

As such, I want something that isn't going to have a lot of lag and turbo bite to worry about. To me,
this rules out the 60 trim or 60-1 upgrade, or the larger turbos. These seem to make excellent top-
end power, but usually suffer from lag. The exception is the ceramic ball bearing turbos, which are
out of my price league right now.

On the other hand, I do want to have some nice grunt to it. The smaller 54 trim upgrade might be
adequate, and maintain the manners that I'm looking for.

So... Price seems to limit me to a CT26 upgrade at the moment, so even if a (for example) SupraSport
BOSS turbo may be able to give me more power and better manners...

Now, in the SupraStore catalogue, they list target HP ratings, for which even the smaller upgrades
seem reasonable for my goals. Is a 54 trim really good for 450 hp? Is that wheels or flywheel? (Not
that it matters, since I don't really intend to break 400 at the wheels. It'll be a daily driver,
after all.) How much difference in lag will that really make?

Since the price seems to be the same regardless of which route I go, I'd rather make the right choice
here, and then go from there.
