[Supras] Air in system

An interesting way to introduce air into a cooling system is to have a pin hole in the hose between the overflow tank and the radiator cap. I got caught with that once. Everything is fine on the first runs. As the car cools it draws in air because of less resistance instead of coolant from the overflow tank. Another suggestion is to replace that hose. Even the one inside the overflow tank. That also appeared to be a BHG.

TStats do come in different temp ranges, but that doesn't mean your car will run at those temps. If you run with no TStat your engine actually runs hotter because the coolant does hot have time to pull the heat from the engine. The car seems to run cooler because the fluid is cooler. I have found that even the TStats rated lower temps make the engine run warmer expecially on hot days because the fluid is not doing all it capable of. So to keep the computer and sensors happy and to get the best mileage run the OEM TStat.
