Hi Bernie,
??? Actually for a 90 turbo MK3 you don't drill the frame to fit the MKIV mounts.? It is the aluminum mounting bracket that gets drilled.? The frame clears the large locating bump just fine, but its the top pin (it's the?smaller guide pin)?of the engine mounts that will require the bracket to be drilled in order to fit.? It seems that people who did this job, simply grind off this top pin and leave the bracket as is, which is?probably ok.? I just wanted to make sure the mount doesn't move, or rotate on its axis, when I torque it down or when the engine's running.
Regards,
/Khalid 90T
Using MkIV engine mounts, Kahlid stated that he drilled the frame with
some difficulty to accept the large locating "bumps" on the underside of
the MKIV mounts.? Other accounts I read just speak about grinding them
off.? Any other opinions?
Thanks.
??? BernieK
