I had this problem once and I got a long stiff piece of wire. I made a L shaped hook on it.
Then had somebody pull the top of the window out a bit. I put the hook around the lever
thats pops the hatch. I popped the hatch and crawled through the back and got the keys.
If the seat is far enough back, it is a straight shot down to the lever.
