Good tip!
I use a slight variation...
Instead of grease, use playdough or flour/water mixed. It usually comes
out clean.
I use an old stock head bolt instead of the socket extension. Everyone
uses ARP's anyway, right??? ;o)
Harbor freight sells a very cool pilot bearing puller for cheap. You
will have to grind the hooks down to fit inside a 7M pilot bearing, but
it worked absolutely great on a Jeep Wrangler I just replaced a clutch in.
