For those of you with the "turn the key and click" starter problems I have
another vote for the remote solenoid fix. Mine was doing it all the time,
even in cold weather. Instead of doing the Dean "Ford Solenoid" fix I
instead did a "Mike Bosch" solenoid fix. What I did was buy a Bosch 40A
solenoid and the wiring harness that comes with for 5$ total.

I liked my way better because I didn't have to drill into the frame or cut
that big starter wire. This way of doing it though isn't as "clean" as
Dean's way since you now have the 4 wires for the solenoid by your intake.
First you cut the solenoid trigger wire and solder it to so it now triggers
the solenoid. The other side of the Bosch solenoid trigger goes to chassis
ground. Then run one of the wires on the load side of the Bosch solenoid to
the main starter post and the other to the trigger connection on the
starter. When I cut the original starter trigger wire I soldered the
connection onto the new wire from the solenoid. Sorry I don't have any pics
I was working by myself and was rushed. I'll put it on my "todo" list.
