[Supras] boost controllers

Hi there, just a lil question and i know it probably sounds silly to all you 
people who know a lot about turbo cars!! Anyhow can someone please tell me 
how an electronic boost controller works? Ive bought one but havnt installed 
it yet as im still workin on my engine. Id just like to know the ins and 
outs of the way it works! Thanks again for the help.
