[Supras] E85 retrofit

Reviving an old thread:
This is interesting. I have been buying my gas in Vermont, and in VT they
don't have the 'oxygenation' requirement that Mass. does, so I have been
told by a couple of 'technician' friends that I am running 'real' gas and
should be getting better gas mileage.
This weekend I didn't load up on Friday in VT as I usually do, and Saturday
I refilled at a station in Mass where we run 10-15% Ethanol in the fuel. I
put in the usual amount and did more than the usual amount of driving this
weekend.
No, my speedo/odo is busted, but I know the routes I drive, and I did much,
much more driving than I usually do. I also drove it to work, which would be
the equivalent of getting my gas in VT, driving home, and driving around all
weekend.
The final score is that I actually did MUCH better using the Ethanol laced
fuel! Now, there are so many problems with my car that I am estimating
approx 17 MPG, but I bet I did over 20 this w/e!
