[Supras] Some new pictures of what is going on

Hi Karsten,
Thanks for the compliments!
The plate is "open" under the coil pack and at the rear of the motor which
allows for some airflow. I have had the valley covered for a while now in some
various form with zero ill effect. This has been while driving in up to 100*F
ambient temps as well. I do have heat indicators on various parts on the
intake manifold and in the valley along with other spots in the bay (I like to
test all kinds of stuff) and the heat in the valley has set changed the 300*F
mark but not the 325*F mark.

I ran with the MKIV COP ignition which I retrofitted to the MA70 ignition
system. I saw zero improvement on the dyno or in drivability. For cosmetic
reasons it can be done but that would be it (I'd have to make and/or modify the
cam covers to fill up the gap). If you are standalone then that is a different
matter (true sequential ignition along with sequential injection would be
nice on the 7M).

Hello Dean

What a nice looking engine bay you got there, I especially like the
cover plate on top of the sparkplugs. It gives the top a much cleaner
look compared to looking at the typical loom.

As you kind of keep the heat below the plate have you experienced any
problems with brittle sparkplug wires or are that too early to say
anything about?

As I'm going COP, this could be a very nice way to make an absolutely
clean top of the engine.

Regards
Karsten
