I tried an aftermarket fan cluth (Valley Brand) that
lasted less than a year. I still have the brand new
replacement they gave me in a box downstairs and
refuse to put it on the car.
I bought the silicone oil from Jeff Watson at Champion
Toyota, took the stock unit apart, cleaned and
replenished the silicone oil and reassembled in less
than a hour. No issues and that was done a couple of
years ago...maybe 30k miles.
The new fan shroud came from Chamion as well, in stock
at the time of order as Jeff keeps a very good stock
of parts for our Supras and mention that you're a SOGI
member for the really great prices.
