[Supras] Help - fan noises

Pulled into the garage last night and heard this awful grumble from the front of the car. Shut the car off and spun the fan by hand - same grumble noise - no wobble. 

Is this the symptom of a fan clutch that needs new fluid or is it indicative of some larger failure?

Any ideas appreciated.

PS - does the radiator have to come out to get the clutch/fan out?
