I recently had to have my head rebuilt and was in a similar boat. I considered using one of those
vendors that say "we do millions of heads" such as found on ebay, but had misgivings about what I
would get and how I could ever recover if they sent junk.
I talked to Aaron at "driftmotion.com" because he is within driving distance of me and he
recommended JMS Racing Engines (626-357-2718)in Monrovia, CA. They have a CBN mill and have done
many 7Ms for Aaron. JMS has quite a good rep in general it turns out if you do some "Googling"!
Unfortunately they are not particularly cheap, so if you are on a tight budget don't proceed down
this path.
Now, I am pretty sure that Aaron also sells rebuilt 7Ms, and you have some assurance that he will
do it right both because he only does Supras, and he will use JMS for the machine work. I suggest
giving him a call and see what you think. The further away from CA you are, the less attractive
this would be I suppose.
