[Supras] timing belts

That crank bolt can be sticky ... I've heard of members putting a johnson
bar on the bolt, make sure it contacts the ground in the direction the motor
turns, remove the EFI fuse, then give a few short cranks on the motor with
the starter (never did it myself, tho). Put it back on with a torque
wrench, with the car in 5th!!!

Unless you have modified your valve train (stiffer springs, higher rate
cam,
etc) then stick with stock. Impact gun to remove crank bolt.

Hello Supras,

I'll be changing my timing belt soon, and was wondering if anyone has any
comments on the Greddy timing belt. It's about 6X the price of a Toyota
one (~$150 vs $25).

Also, any suggestions for how hold the crank stationary while
loosening the bolt, and also for torquing it afterwards? Thanks.

Patrick
