Um...before you send it to the scrapper, is it in REAL good shape? 
If it is near perfect (or better) I would be willing to pay what I would pay
a local Recycler, since up here in the Northeast EVERYTHING is 'compromised'
and I'd be better off getting one from a Sunny clime. Let me know how much
it weighs and I will see about arranging shipping...I really need a
Passenger's side fender badly!

I have a nice black right front fender for a MkIII and a steel down 
pipe, cat eliminator that is not mandrel bent (sorry). If anyone wants 
them. They are in the San Francisco area and not really worth shipping. 
They go to the steel recyclers if unclaimed.
