[Supras] Strange noise, possibly in steering

Hi,
     Occasionally when 'at speed', I hear an occasional metallic knock kind
of noise. It definitely was sporadic in nature, there was no pattern to
when it occurred. I thought it might have been a loose portion of the
exhaust hitting the car somewhere, but the exhaust seems really solid.
Lately though I've also heard it during the following manueuver:

Turning the wheel while starting from a complete stop.

Are one of my wheels about to fall off? Am I about to lose steering? How
bad could this be...?
