[Supras] Wheel fitment opinions (17x10)??

I'm looking for info on wheel fitment, I've found a bunch of
contradicting hearsay on the online forums (imagine that) and thought I
might be able to get some more solid info from the folks I've talked to
for a long time. I'm looking at a 17x10 rear wheel (+38) and wondering
if this configuration would cause problems. The car is currently using
Eibach springs (although I plan to get rid of them soon but will try to
keep a similar stance) Rear tires will be 275/40 although they'll likely
measure slightly wider (Kuhmo V710 or similar DOT-R tire) 

 

I bought a set of 17x8.5 & 9 for race wheels but found they offer a
17x9.5 & 10, so the plan is to use the 9" width in front (with 245 or
255/40) and 9.5 or 10" rear wheel with 275/40 (getting as much width as
I can on the tire) I was thinking I could eventually try a 295 rear if
the sidewall was still stiff enough but no time soon.

 

Has anyone used a similar setup? They also offer a 17x10 (+22) but I
think they would certainly rub the fenders.
