Would the ECU having to relearn have anything to do
with the much better but not quite normal yet?

I sent my injectors to be cleaned, tested and flow
rates identified for each during the engine rebuild.
It only took a few days, mainly due to shipping to
Indiana for the service which may be readily available
locally for you.
