[Supras] [SOGI-TECH] Tokico struts

As far as mentioning of TEMS goes, I remember reading an article from
when the mk3 was first being tested by magazine writers. They talked
about the Tems function and how an early pre-production model had
substantial difference in handling feel between the Tems settings. They
mentioned that testing the production model didn't have a difference in
feel.

I still have Tems working with Tokicos and can't tell much of a
difference even during competition driving. I've noticed before that I
had completed a run and forgot to set it to Sport, the following run
wasn't noticeably different aside from the placebo effect. This is using
a shorter spring with the Tokico so it could be that the effective range
of the shock is not being noticed as much. When driving normally I can
only feel a very slight difference in compression firmness between the
settings.

My solution was to just get used ones from somebody who'd lowered their
car. A lot of list members run Eibach's, so they might have a set lying
around if you ask nicely. I think Elvis (thanks again, if you're still
on the list!) sold me an old set for the cost of shipping a couple years
back.

I do have to say, my car with tokicos + stock springs is a lot better
than it was with tokicos + h&r. Plus now it doesn't scrape going over
speed bumps, nor does it function as a snow plow.

I'm not sure if you were directing your questions to me or not, but I'll
answer anyway.

As far as I know, there's nothing wrong with the stock springs except,
most likely, price. If the price is good, I'll buy them.

Running anything except TEMS shocks is out of the question for me. The
car came with it and I intend to keep it. I just don't want to change
what came with the car.
