[Supras] Alternator interchangability

Pre-88 alternators (7M-GTE only, I think) were 70 amps, '88 and  up were 80 
amps, but the JDM 7M-GTE alternators were 100 amps. Is the JDM  version 
interchangable with the USDM ones?
