[Supras] Power Steering Pressure Gauge

Sounds reasonable - but the cost I got was a flat rate without anyone measuring anything. The parts store gave it the once over to make sure it wasn't bent into a pretzel or anything but that was it. Possible that if it had the problem you described it might have come back with a higher cost or generated a phone call before they started.

  What I heard is that rebuilding the rack might involve boring our the rack and inserting a stainless steel sleeve.  The reason for that is, if the inner diameter of the rack is increased, due to wear, then the fluid just by passes the seals instead of pushing the steering rod.  This added labor can drive up the cost of the rebuild.
