supras,
i have to test my ign switch tomorrow.
does this make sense.
i turn the key , nothing happens, absolutely nothing.
the brown connector to the starter gets no juice either.
if i apply 12v to the connector with the key on i can start the car and it
runs.
if i test the neutral safety switch using continuity like it says in the
trsm its good, so now im thinking ign switch.
my tsrm cd sucks when it comes to this so im relying on my haynes and a
little trial and error.
just would like your ideas so i can get back to fun stuff.

Subject: [Supras] starting issues?
Im going off to troubleshoot the pig. I was having sooo much fun with the
maftpro that I developed a starting issue.
Problem might be because I just wanted to hear the engine start up so I
connected the battery posts without tightening them and forgot to tighten
them for a few days until the car acted like a dead baterry. Charged up the
battery and tested the neutral safety switch and all is good.
No if I hold the key onto the start position I get nothing and if I hold the
key on, it blows the 40amp fusible link labeled ma2 under the hood.
So I browsed some of the websites and see that wire going to the
starter(brown connector) is a source of many ills. Im going out to look at
it but cant find anything on what this wire is suppose to do. Is it suppose
to supply volts, with key on etc?
you guys think I just developed a short in the starter?
I want to get back to boosting.
thanks
